Safe Cleaning:

Basic cleaning instructions are as follows:

Painted safes:

The best way to clean a safe that has a painted surface is to use a damp cloth (water only) and wipe in a straight motion with a soft touch. Do not wipe painted logos, silkscreens to hard as this will damage them.
Do not wipe bolt work as it can rust.

Stainless safes:

You should use a mild detergent like 409 for overall cleaning. We sometime use WD-40 (on stainless only) and wipe with the grain. Not using to much pressure and being very careful not to get the dial or logos.

Clean hardware with water only, using a clean, soft cloth. Do not use metal polishes or solvents on plated hardware surfaces.
